Why choose me?

Meniere’s Disease isn’t just an abstract concept to me, it’s an everyday part of my life.

As part of your Meniere's Disease support system, I put my academic credentials (RD & PhD) to work by using evidence-backed science, lifestyle changes and dietary therapies, to help you manage your Meniere’s Disease. I am committed to living the Meniere's Disease lifestyle and truly understand the trials and tribulations of the disease from the eyes of a supportive spouse.

To me, a Meniere’s Dietitian is more than just a Registered Dietitian. They are someone who truly understands the lived experience of the disease. They recognize that Meniere's can show up in anyone’s life and it affects far more than hearing and balance. Meniere's disrupts your whole life and the life of people around you. As a Meniere's Dietitian, I am here to walk this food and life journey with you.

Nutrition can play a key role in helping some people manage symptoms like vertigo, tinnitus, fluid retention, and hearing loss. By reducing inflammation, stabilizing blood sugar, and lowering sodium intake, we can support better balance and inner ear function.

It’s important to remember that nutrition isn’t a magic cure for everyone. Some people may not experience major symptom relief — but even in those cases, nourishing the body can strengthen overall resilience, reduce stress on the system, and help you feel more equipped to handle flare-ups when they do happen.

Not at all! While sodium management can be important for some, I take a whole health approach. Together, we will explore hydration, stress, other foods, support systems and more.

I only work with clients who have possible Meniere's Disease or definite Meniere's Disease, as determined by their Otolaryngologist (ENT).

Absolutely! I encourage family sessions because Meniere’s doesn’t just affect the individual; it impacts the entire household. Family sessions can be a powerful way to open up communication, share what it really feels like to live with Meniere’s, and help your loved ones understand how to support you better. We will discuss practical things, like creating a household food plan that works for everyone, or why your diet may look different from theirs. Additionally, if your partner or loved one just needs someone who “gets it", I am here as a kindred spirit who truly understands the frustrations, helpless moments, and emotional ups and downs that come with this journey.

Yes, I do! That said, the services I offer may vary depending on your location. Different states and countries have their own regulations around nutrition and telehealth services. Please reach out to me directly to discuss your location and how I can best support you within the appropriate guidelines.

What happens during an initial consultation?

We spend 60 minutes exploring your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, current diet, lab results and goals. You’ll walk away with a custom nutrition strategy and actionable next steps, that we formulate together.

Additional appointments are available for 30 or 60-minute sessions (or are part of a bundled package), depending on how much support you need. We will track your progress, adjust your plan, and personalize your wellness strategy by diving deeper into areas of your choosing, such as meal planning or traveling.

Yes, all sessions are conducted virtually, for your convenience. We can meet from anywhere.

Do you take insurance?

At this time, I do not accept insurance and am not part of any insurance networks, including Medicare. Insurance does not cover nutrition related management/therapy of Meniere’s Disease. My practice is private-pay, which means payment is made directly by the client at the time of service.

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, I may be able to provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan and diagnosis, and are not guaranteed.

Please note: I am not a Medicare provider. If you have Medicare, you will not be able to submit claims or receive reimbursement for services received here.

In many cases, yes! Nutrition counseling for a diagnosed condition like Meniere’s may be covered. Please check with your plan to confirm your benefits. We will need to obtain a Letter of Medical Necessity from your diagnosing Physician.

Do you create personalized meal plans?

Yes! I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all diets; that is why I offer personalized guidance and meal ideas tailored to your preferences, symptoms, and goals.

Sometimes. I focus on food first, but we can discuss evidence-based supplements if appropriate for your case.

Many of my clients have overlapping conditions such as migraines, autoimmune issues, or heart concerns, so I always take the full picture into account when creating a nutrition plan. My Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) services focus on how nutrition impacts your overall health and well-being.

If your other health conditions can also be supported through nutrition, we can often address those together. However, for concerns outside the scope of nutritional therapy, I recommend continuing care with your primary doctor or a relevant specialist. I’m always happy to coordinate with your healthcare team to help ensure your nutrition plan fits within your overall treatment goals.

I understand your feelings completely! Meniere’s can be frustrating, unpredictable, and exhausting. Many of my clients come to me feeling like they’ve hit a wall. They've tried low-sodium diets, medications, supplements, maybe even multiple specialists and they're still struggling.

Here’s the truth: there's no magic fix, but there is a way forward. My approach is different because it’s not just about managing symptom; it’s about understanding your root causes, your patterns, your stress, your story. We’ll take a whole-person look at your health, gently untangle the pieces, and create a plan that feels supportive, not overwhelming.

You haven’t tried this yet — and I’d be honored to walk the path with you.

No, and I believe it’s important to be honest about that. Every person’s experience with Meniere’s is different. What works for one person may not work the same way for another.

What I can promise is that I’ll show up fully for you. I’ll listen to your story, look at the full picture, and help you build a sustainable plan using evidence-based tools, whole-person strategies, and ongoing support.

The results will depend on many factors — including your body’s unique needs, your consistency, and how your symptoms respond. No matter what, we’ll work together every step of the way.

There is currently no known cure for Meniere’s disease, so no, this will not cure your Meniere’s Disease, and I don’t promise quick fixes. What I do offer is personalized support to help you manage symptoms, reduce flare-ups, and improve your overall quality of life.

Every person is different. Your triggers, your lifestyle and your body are all unique. Some clients experience significant relief through nutrition and lifestyle changes, while for others, progress may be slower or more complex for others. My job is to help you understand what your body needs, and to guide you with evidence-based tools and a whole-person, whole health approach.

Over the years, through a combination of research, personal experience, and listening to what has worked for others, I’ve developed a unique, whole-person approach. My therapies go beyond just diet, they blend nutrition, lifestyle support, family dynamics, and your physician’s recommendations to create a truly individualized plan.

These services are designed to complement your ENT’s treatment, not replace it. This mean you will get support that fits alongside your existing care. I am not a physician and will not change any medications or supplements that your physician has prescribed for you.

MNT stands for Medical Nutrition Therapy, which is a specialized, evidence-based approach that only Registered Dietitians are qualified to provide. In simple terms, it means using food and nutrition strategically to help manage conditions like Meniere's Disease that are influenced by diet.

When it comes to Meniere’s Disease, MNT focuses on the connection between what you eat and how it impacts your symptoms, flare-ups, and overall quality of life. It’s about identifying dietary patterns and lifestyle shifts that can reduce the intensity or frequency of episodes and support your long-term wellness.

As a Meniere’s Disease dietitian, I believe your health is worth investing in. Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is more than general advice; it’s a personalized, evidence-based approach from a trained dietitian to help manage your Meniere’s Disease. You’re not just paying for information, you’re paying for expert advice, trustworthy support, and real-life strategies.

How MNT can help:
• Reducing the frequency and severity of your symptoms.
•Improving your energy, focus, and quality of life.
• Providing a roadmap when you’re feeling lost or overwhelmed.

Embarking on your Medical Nutrition Therapy journey is not just about food, it’s about taking control of your health with expert support tailored to you.

Absolutely! While diet and nutrition can be central in managing Meniere’s Disease, they’re only one piece of the puzzle. Flare-ups and disruptions can also be triggered or intensified by stress, poor sleep, and other health conditions.

This is why it is so important to take a whole-person approach and examine all the factors affecting your life, including but not limited to the foods on your plate. From stress management to lifestyle habits and emotional support, I’m here to be part of your care team and help you feel more resilient and in control of your Meniere’s journey.

Absolutely! In fact, your experience is incredibly valuable. You’ve likely found strategies that work for you and I’d really like to hear what’s helped you so far. Keep in mind that Meniere’s can evolve over time, and so can your needs. Whether you’re looking to fine-tune your current approach, explore new tools, or simply need support as the condition changes, I’m here to help guide you through every stage.

Absolutely! Being a Meniere’s Dietitian isn’t just about limiting your salt intake. While sodium can be a trigger for some, not everyone with Meniere’s is salt-sensitive. That’s why I take a comprehensive approach that goes far beyond your diet. We look at your full picture of your health, including nutrient balance, sleep quality, stress levels, coexisting conditions, and more. This comprehensive approach helps you feel more in control and supported in your day-to-day life. Your plan is always tailored to you, with strategies that fit your unique experience, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

I am dedicated to staying current with the latest research and evidence-based approaches related to Meniere’s Disease, including both conventional and integrative therapies. This allows me to apply the science in a highly individualized way, tailoring strategies to your specific symptoms and medical history. Some therapies are based on existing evidence in the literature, while others involve carefully guided trial-and-error. During treatment, I always with your safety, preferences, and goals in mind. I provide a thoughtful blend of research, clinical insight, and real-life experience in every session.
